Meet your mentor

Hi, I am Dr. Debra Cole. I am glad to see you here. I have over 25 years experience as a clinically practicing PA in 7 different specialties and over 15 years experience as a PA educator. I have held every leadership position within a PA program from Associate Professor, Director of Didactic Education, Director of Clinical Education and Program Director. My experience spans all aspects of PA education including admissions to graduation success. I have worked in several PA programs to include state and private institutions. I truly enjoy mentoring students and have been the advisor for several Pre-PA clubs and participated in numerous panels and recruitment activities. As a PA educator I work closely with students and understand what separates accepted vs rejected applicants. I desire to help you to reach your goal of becoming a PA and join our amazing profession. I graduated with Doctorate of Education, Curriculum and Instruction/Education Technology, from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, in 2022. I have a Master of Physician Assistant Studies, from the University of Florida as well graduating in 2001. My Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Sciences is also from University of Florida, graduating in 1995.
